Kogi guber: Echocho accuses Wada of plan to disrupt primaries

Ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kogi State governorship primaries, the Jibrin Isah Campaign Organisation (JICO) has accused incumbent Governor Idris Wada of plans to disrupt the exercise.

A statement by JICO’s director-general, Hon. Fenti Dada, alleged that Wada has recruited youths to attack those supporting Echocho on the day of the primaries.

“JICO wishes to draw the attention of the public as well as security agencies to the plan by the governor of Kogi State, Capt. Idris Wada to disrupt the PDP gubernatorial primaries scheduled for 10th September 2015 in Lokoja Kogi State.

“We have it on good authority that
the hunter who has now become the hunted, has recruited young men, mainly youths to disrupt the primaries by causing bodily harm to delegates and supporters of Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho.

“The plot by Governor Idris Wada is despicable, desperate and a sign that he does not have the interest of the state as well as the party, PDP at heart. Most worrisome is the promise of political appointments to the thugs at the end of the exercise,” Dada said.
