Students of Kogi University block Roads Linking East to North

The Students Union Government of Kogi State University and National Association of Nigerians Students, NANS, today blocked major roads in Lokoja metropolis, linking the Eastern part of the country from Enugu to the North via Abuja, Nassarawa etc.

What was their reason? An eyewitness said they were protesting the 3 months old strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Kogi State Chapter.

ASUU is refusing to work with the government in the interest of all and the students are not happy that they are being made to sit idle at home while they should be in school.
