Update: Sheriff storms PDP headquarters in Abuja to take over

I told you guys that Ali-Modu Sheriff is not ready to step aside as Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, despite all the interventions by the party's Board of Trustees and elders.

Sheriff arrived the party's headquarters in Abuja this morning at Wadata Plaza to, in his words, "commence his official business". He said he remains the authentic chairman based on court order. He even showed the court orders to journalist and lambasted the IG of police for using security against him.

You may wish to know that Sheriff has the National Secretary and National Treasurer of PDP with him and he described this men as the main organ of the party.

Hard as they tried to gain entrance, they were prevented by policemen, claiming a directive from the IG said that nobody should be allowed to entry into the PDP headquarters. Sheriff says he will fight on.
