Senate Forgery: 15 Witnesses Lined Up Against Bukola Saraki and Others

The embattled senate president Bukola Saraki has vowed to "fight on", his deputy Ike Ekweremadu has said he's not afraid. The Ministry of Justice also said it was fellow senators that wrote a petition that their Rules were forged and called for investigation; hence anyone found guilty will be punished.

That is how the ball is set to roll, Yourgist247.com observed.

Reliable sources in Abuja confirmed that about 15 witnesses have been lined up by the Federal Government in the forgery case brought against Saraki and Ekweremadu.

Others due to appear before the court on Monday for allegedly forging the Senate Standing Rules 2015 are a former Clerk of the National Assembly, Salisu Maikasuwa, and the Acting Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly‎, Benedict Efeturi.

Among the witnesses are Senator Solomon Ewuga, Senator Ita Enang, Senator Ajayi Borrofice, Senator Kabiru Marafa, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Senator Abu Ibrahim, Senator Ahmad Lawan and David Igbodo, an Assistant Superintendent of Police.
The senators said at no time was it agreed that the Rules be changed, so those who did must face the law.
