President Buhari Appoints Rivers APC Candidate, Peterside, as DG of NIMASA

I saw this coming, considering the intellectual contributions of Rivers APC and the body, soul and spirit efforts put in by their leader, Rotimi Amaechi, towards the victory of the APC at the national level.

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Dakuku Peterside, APC governorship candidate in Rivers State as director-general of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

Yetunde Sonaike, director of public relations in the ministry of transportation, confirmed this in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday. The appointment was with immediate effect.

Peterside holds a PhD in Management Science from UNIPORT and MBA in Business Administration.

He also holds a Bachelor Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences (B.MLS) in Hematology from Rivers State University of Science and Technology. Peterside was a member of the house of representative between 2011 and 2015.

NIMASA is under the supervision of the ministry of transportation, which is headed by Amaechi.
