The apex youth group in Eket Senatorial District (EKET SENATORIAL DISTRICT YOUTHS ASSEMBLY) has declared their readiness to partner with the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Deaconess Martha Udom Emmanuel in her Non- Governmental Organization project , The family empowerment , and youth reorientation programme (FEYReP).
Unveiling the master plan for the partnership, the International President of the group, Evang. (Hon.) Joseph Okon Mbong said Eket Senatorial District youths are so pleased with Her Excellency for conceiving capacity building programmes that envelops future prospects for women and youths in the State and as such, they hold the programme in high esteem with the believe that it will succeed to meet the purpose in which it was initiated.
Speaking in an interactive meeting with over 5,000 members of the group in Oron yesterday, Mbong said from the body language of Her Excellency, it could be proven that The Udom’s came on-board prepared to weather every storm in other to make sure they give an all inclusive support and help to alleviate poverty, illiteracy in the lives of Akwa Ibom people.
“A
society that lacks good leadership perish. Her Excellency, Deaconess
Martha Udom Emmanuel is a replica of the biblical Sarah, who is ready to
give her all for the betterment of the people. I therefore implore all
of you here today, who saw the best in Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel and
family from inception, to rise and give undeterred support to our dear
Governor and wife so they can take Akwa Ibom from a land of uncommon
transformation to a land of all great people living in splendor” – he
said.
He warned those distracting the Governors attention in court cases to sheath their sword as wielding that sword will leave no scar on the people. Reminding them that Governor Udom is on ground to win any election peradventure there is a rerun. He went further to intimate them that divinity had brought to the fore of Akwa Ibom Governance, Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel and that Udom’s 8years is nonnegotiable.
In
an unanimous reaction, members promise to begin sensitization of
misinformed people across the State, starting from the riverine areas.
They also moved a motion of total solidarity to the Leadership of
Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel as Akwa Ibom State Governor with a
promise to embark on a 10,000 man match from Eket – Uyo to warn the Uyo
stakeholders of the lingering danger of fighting fairness, equity and
its respect in leadership , and also to declare their undeterred support
for Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel anytime any day.
