Why Terry G May Be Banned From Performing In Europe For Life

Nigeria’s controversial singer cum music producer, Gabriel Oche-Amanyi, better known as Terry G, currently risks being banned from Europe after allegedly failing to honour a show where he was billed to perform in Sweden.
Terry G, who returned to Nigeria on November 26 from a tour of Europe, performed at 13 shows across the continent, but was missing at the Sweden show scheduled to hold on November 27.

Naij.com gathered from a reliable source that the promoters in Sweden, who lost a huge amount of money due to Terry G’s absence at their show, are keen on taking legal actions, which will likely make the music star pay fines or risk being banned from all European countries.
The Sweden promoters are angry because Terry G’s absence did not just make them lose money, but it also dragged their integrity and credibility among music fans into the mud, having embarked on a strong publicity campaign for the cancelled show.
“We are suing TGP Entertainment (Terry G’s company) and our legal team are on that already. He was quite unprofessional and that has cost us a lot, so he must face the consequences,” a spokesperson of the Sweden promoters to Naij.com correspondent.
In a chat with Naij.com correspondent this morning, Alex Ozone, Terry G’s manager, explained that he and his artiste were given a 26-day European working visa, which expired on November 26.
“We could not perform at the last six shows because our visa expired, and all efforts to apply for an extension proved abortive because of the immigration crisis going on in Europe at the moment. We are still working on the renewal and go back to finish the tour next year because of the fans if the promoters can reschedule,” Ozone said.
He added that “all the promoters are aware of the situation. Besides, we did not collect advance payment from anybody.”
Some of the cities where Terry G performed during the tour include Malaga, Mallorca, Vienna, Prague and three other cities in Germany.
