DON’T DROP THE MIC (DDTM) - CONNECT

For those of you who haven’t been to the Don’t Drop The Mic (DDTM) show at Bogobiri House on Saturday nights, DDTM is an Urban Variety Show where performers or artists create songs off the cuff, freestyle rap, perform, battle and improvise on the spot.

Audience games are played, jokes are told, and spontaneous conversations are sparked. It is generally an interactive show where one can catch random unexpected trips.

And as you can imagine, each show is never the same.

There is a team of exceptional artists that include poets, comedians, rappers, singers, Dj’s and instrumentalists; that make up the DDTM team. They use their creative talents to speak music, where words fail.

Best of all, it is an open mic show, so any artist can come down, write their name, and perform their songs either with the DJ or the DDTM live band.

But if the audience isn’t feeling you, you might get told to “Drop The Mic”.

Audience members can also win great prizes by joining in the games we do throughout the show.

In short, DDTM is what happens when “Wild & Out” meets “Whose line is it anyway”, and is mixed in with a pinch of “Ridiculousness”, a smidgen of “Mock the Week" and a dash of “Nigerian Idol”.
