The incident at a federal high court in Lagos on Monday was very instructive as EFCC officials literally and powerfully dragged the former Chairman of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMAS, Patrick Ziadeke Akpobolokemi, into their waiting bus.
The embattled former DG of NIMASA who has been arraigned before two different courts on charges of stealing and conversion of money running into billions of Naira, was coming from a court presided over by justice Ibrahim Buba, where one of the cases was adjourned till 18th January, for trial and was about to enter his car when he was accosted by EFCC operatives and armed mobile policemen.
They requested for him to follow them and when he refused, they dragged him into their waiting bus.
He had earlier been arraigned with three other accused persons and three companies over an alleged stealing and conversion of N2,659,457,666.00.
