Remember the story of the missing teenagers who disappeared last month when they were sent on separate errands? Their family had complained that instead of the policemen at Igbogbo division where they reported the case to, to help them, they had instead demanded for N4,500 before they could commence investigation.
Well, they have been found. They returned home last Saturday, according to Punch reports.
They were not kidnapped, contrary to fears, but ran away because they both slept with a 13 year old member of their church and impregnated the girl (well, at least one of them did the impregnating), so out of fear they ran away from home and put their family into disarray.
But wait, there is a twist to the whole story. The family claims the boys were found close to Redeemed Camp at Mowe, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, and were under medication due to their terrible experience at the hands of their abductors, while the police on the other hand are accusing the family of trying to cover up their children's misdeeds.
The police say that the family of the impregnated 13 year old were daily coming to the boys' house to make trouble, and it was in the heat of the moment that the two boys ran away. Police officials who spoke to Punch Metro said one of the boys even sent a text message to their father apologising for running away.
Lol. So who do we believe now?
Any way, the most important thing is that the boys are now back home, safe and sound.
