EXPOSED: The Truth About Prof. Ndifon Rape Scandal

For the past 1 week, there have been series of publication by different blogs and newspaper concerning the rape saga in the faculty of law, University of Calabar, Calabar. This news have been received with mixed feelings. Some are rejoicing over the purported rape scandal while some have received the news with great shock and embarrassment. However, the truth of the matter is finally unveiling.

 The purported rape victim by name Sinemobong Nkang a 400 level student of the faculty of law alleged that she was being rape by the dean of the faculty of Law Unical. In her statement of fact, she claimed that the dean, Prof C O Ndifon gave a one hour test on a saturday and 20 minutes to the end of the test, the dean ordered that every student should submit their test script and then the dean approached her and tore her script. She further stated that she followed him to plead with him and then prof directed her to go to the office with her torn script and rewrite it.

While she was in the office according to her, prof made advances to her but she resisted. He then locked the door, undressed, removed a condom and then forcefully raped her and then while the rape was going on, a knock was heard on the door and prof wore back his clothes immediately, acted like nothing happened, opened the door and followed the person downstairs. and then he latter came back and continued the second round of the rape. She then proceeded to the police station to report the matter and then had medical examinations done on her. From the statement of the purported rape victim we can deduce some irregularities and inconsistency.

My questions are as follows :

when prof was undressing, what was she doing? Watching African Magic? When prof was removing a condom from the drawer what was she doing? Watching Telemundo? When a knock was  heard on the door and prof Open the door, what was she doing? Meditating? when he was undressing, why dint she raise alarm ? When prof removed a condom from his drawer, Why dint she raise alarm? Yes it was a saturday and the faculty was a bit empty but not completely empty, they were still some staffs in the office. Ok, when there was a knock on the door, why dint she raise alarm? Why dint she run after the man out of the office? Why did she have to wait for him to come for a second round. She was even seen assisting prof with his books and laptop to the car. Who does that after being raped? In her statement, the further stated that Prof Ndifon Sent her to get a paper from the general office after making advances towards her and she dint seize that opportunity to run? Seriously . She was never found sober, she was even posting pictures on instagram and facebook few days after the purported rape. The reason why her script was torn as stated by one of her classmate (name withheld) is due to the fact that Prof Ndifon gave a warning after asking students to stop writing that if he sees anyone writing, he will tear their script and he met her still writing and tore her script. information reaching our campus correspondent from one of the lecturer in the Faculty of Law, university Of Calabar. Stated that the dean was set up. The lecturer further stated that there was a fracas between the dean and some lecturers including a HOD in the faculty over the dean's refusal to sign the results of some graduating students with questionable CGPA. According to our sources in the faculty, the

lecturers and this particular HOD promised to deal with the dean. This same HOD is claiming to be the family friend/guardian of the purported rape victim. A source from the class of the purported rape victim

claimed that the said HOD has been having a relationship with the purported rape victim. She was quoted saying "ahhh, it is not Sinem, she has been banging ***** since her year one in unical." the HOD is also known for collecting bribe from students who do not have results in order to manipulate the GP of the students. He is also known for collecting #10,000 as bribe to pass student who he teaches and still fails them or give them "E" grade. 

A source from the management of the university of calabar who dint want his name to be mentioned told our correspondent how this HOD was busy making calls, lobbying to be the ag. Dean of the faculty if anything should to prof Ndifon and this was even days before the dean was suspended. This is indeed very suspicious, this is to show his level of desperation in making sure his student with illegitimate CGPA graduate in peace. It is still this said HOD that took the purported rape victim to the police station and hospital for medical examination. My question now is that if actually the medical report shows that there was penetration, who then actually did the penetration ? Is it the dean in his office or the HOD before his ride with the purported rape victim to the hospital. The purported rape Victim Miss Sinemobong Nkang apart from her relationship with the HOD is said to have a lot of question mark about her character. She is reported to have made advances via facebook messenger to a particular lecturer who was once in the house of assembly and when the lecturer turned down her advances she started making verbal/public abuses against the lecturer. She was quoted saying "see this one, why is he parking in the HOD's car park. It will take him 20 years to become a HOD" she made this statement when this particular lecturer parked in her "favourite HOD" parking space. She was even said to have committed examination malpractice in her year one and was saved by the same dean she is now blackmailing. Even from her results shown so far, she is a below average student but performs excellently well in her favourite HOD's course. Apart from her classmate boyfriend who she has tied down since her year one, she is said to be having a lot of affairs with married men and big boys in town. With all this character, one begins to wonder "could this girl's case be a rape case of an invitation to treat" that was turned down. A paper with a drawing of a human skull was slipped into profs office just before his suspension with the inscription "we have finally got you this time, you will not escape this. Are all this fact not making the picture clearer The mother of the purported rape victim the supposed Mrs Iren Akpan with real name as Dr Mrs Nkang is not left out from this controversy.

She is a lecturer in the Faculty of Education University of Uyo. She was the pioneer dean of the faculty of Education in Akwaibom state University AKSU where she displayed her rascality and immaturity in

handling problems. She was said to have fought the university to a standstill and was eventually demoted from associate Proffesor to senior lecturer which led to her running away from AKSU to Uniyo. It is not surprising that she would just hear a fabricated and scrupulous story from her promiscuous and wayward daughter who is been used by her favourite HOD to tarnish the image of the dean Prof Ndifon and will jump to support her daughter without reasoning first Yes, prof Ndifon is no saint, he might have his short comings but he is definitely not a rapist. Since his inception as dean of the faculty

of law things have not been the same, things have turn for the better.

It is because of Prof Ndifon that the faculty of law new building facilitated by Sen Ndoma-Egba SAN is near completion. Under his leadership as dean, students now get ready for law school months before law school resume unlike before where law students go to law school several months after law school resumes. Prof Ndifon made the faculty of law to operate a different calendar from the university calendar, this is the first time such a thing is happening in any Nigerian university. His regime has witness a lot of discipline in the faculty with the strict adherence to the university 75% attendance and dress code of black and white meant for law student. Prof Ndifon has made the faculty of law a feard, intimidating and envied faculty in the university of calabar. It is not surprising that a man who has achieved so much is being envied by some of his colleague who want to pull him down, especially the favourite HOD. But definitely, the truth will finally avail it self.
