Student Catches Pervert Taking Photos Of Her Bottom, But Police Say They Can’t Arrest Him Because 'It's Not A Crime'

Gemma Newitt (left) was shopping in a Co-operative store in St Austell, Cornwall, when the man started following her on July 9. CCTV footage shows the unnamed person, dressed in a grey jumper and jeans, holding his mobile phone at waist height behind the 20-year-old as she browses the shelves (right). Despite Miss Newitt, who is wearing a pair of shorts, nearly catching him, the brazen man re-approaches her and continues to try and take pictures. The clip ends with the accountancy student turning around and the man sprinting up the aisle. Miss Newitt said she was angered by the incident, which was reported to police after she told store managers. However, Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed officers had spoken to the man but said he had not committed an offence. How weird!
