Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday in Dutse, Jigawa State capital, rearrested the immediate past governor of the state, Sule Lamido, and his two sons, Aminu and Mustapha, over alleged N1.3 billion fraud while he was in government.
The father and his sons were immediately whisked to Kano where they will appear in court today.
The former governor was spotted wearing a light blue kaftan while one of his sons was on trouser and Tee shirt at the time of arrest, sources say he and his sons were caught unawares.
Recall that in November 2013, Aminu and his brother, Mustapha, were arrested in Kano and flown to Abuja over same allegation. The former governor still enjoyed immunity as at the time his sons were quizzed by the commission, he submitted himself to the EFCC last month after he left office.

They are being accused of using their positions to siphon Jigawa State’s funds.
