Buhari Has Finally Moved Into Aso Rock

Real work is set to begin. After weeks of suspense with respect to when he would eventually move out of the Defence House after his inauguration about three weeks ago, President Muhammadu Buhari has finally moved into his official residence in the Aso Rock presidential villa, Abuja.

Buhari, who returned back to Abuja on Sunday from Katsina State where he had gone to inspect his farm last Saturday, started moving his belongings to the presidential villa on Sunday evening.

The President’s wife, Aisha Buhari had last Thursday moved her belongings to their official residence.

With his formal relocation to Aso Rock, Buhari is expected to start operating from his office for the first time on Monday, hence making the place a beehive of activities ahead of top appointments.

President Buhari may forward the names of ministerial nominees to the Senate this week.
