Obasanjo’s Exit from PDP has Killed The Party – Kwankwaso

Kano State governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has described Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s exit from PDP as a death warrant to the party and another huge blow that will deliver Nigerians from the party.

In an interview with newsmen in his office, Kwankwaso noted that for many obvious reasons, Obasanjo has supporters not only in Ogun State or in the western states, but also across the country.
In his words: “I have not seen him since he decided to leave the PDP, but I can comfortably say that a lot must have happened in the party for him to come out to tear his card and say he has left the party”.

Kwankwaso added that Obasanjo would have left the party earlier than now, since together they had predicted the downfall of the party, but his exit now is still at the right time, and commended the decision of Obasanjo, whom he described as a well respected person of international recognition.

Meanwhile, Governor Kwankwaso has described Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose as a reckless politician who by virtue of his background should not be a governor of any state.

According to Kwankwaso, for any right thinking Nigerian to doubt Buhari’s physical and mental ability is uncalled for, considering his campaign tour that cut across all the states of the federation and how he had consistently been addressing issues of national importance.

“I want to tell Nigerians that I was with Muhammad Buhari when he was leaving for UK and he was hale and hearty. Again, Nigerians have seen pictures of Buhari and former British prime minister, Tony Blair on newspapers and online media. In fact, Muhammad Buhari has since before the party primaries been a healthy and strong person till the day he left for the UK”, Kwankwaso stated.

He said that people like him who knew Fayose’s past and political antecedents were not surprised by his recent vituperations and disrespect for elders.
